  • VA clinic - provided administrative set up and support for this startup operation.  Providing direct clinical services to patients, as well as coordination of care with multiple outside agencies.

  • Community Primary Care clinic - Responsibilities include writing grant to NY State Department of Health for funding, administrative set up and compliance matters, stocking and physical set up of the medical office, and providing direct patient care services.

Night Shift Relief Nursing Supervisor - Responsible to coordinate all hospital functions on the night shift (2300-0800hrs). 

Charge Nurse Emergency Room - Provided direct patient care and coordinated all resources and supervised all care and personnel on a shift by shift basis.

  • Developed a hospital transport kit to assist in the rapid transfer of critical patients to a higher level of care in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Assisted in running Mega-Code and other real time trainings for shift personnel.

 

Charge Nurse ICU/CCU/PACU - Provided direct patient care as well as coordinated and supervised all resources, care and personnel on a shift by shift basis.

  • Additionally developed a patient acuity tool to determine appropriate staffing levels for ICU on a shift by shift basis.

  • Developed a hospital wide Policy and Procedure to ensure safe delivery of thrombolytic (clot buster) drugs to heart attack patients in a timely manner with limited personnel available.  Kit included an administration check list, standardized pre-printed order form, standardized informed consent sheet. Also included writing polices for nursing and laboratory and Cardio-Respiratory services to ensure all necessary blood draw equipment be on hand in pre-packs and implemented on initial IV start.

  • Developed a new Post Anesthesia Care record to streamline the care of patients during their stay in the PACU
